dry dog and cat food, and cans of pop-top cat food
lots of 3 inch deep aluminum lasagna pans as water and food holders for pets on the street
gallon containers of fresh water
cases of small bottled water (for people)
cases of Gatorade
cases of energy bars
thick gloves
cases of dust/surgical masks
cases of Pedialyte (electrolyte supplement for starving pets)
flashlights, walkie talkies and batteries
dog and cat carry crates (especially hinged, collapsible, plastic crates)
night vision goggles (especially heat viewing goggles)

There are still other orginizations working for the animals affected by this disaster some are providing financial support to the continuing efforts, others are looking for both volunteers and donations. All I am glad to say are doing an outstanding job and are well worth the investment.

Pasado Safe Haven - Instrumental in the protection of the Disaster animals from being euthanized. Also currently working in Louisiana to prosecute those responsible for the St. Bernard dog massacre. They have also worked with the animal rescue and shelter efforts and proved to be a valuable friend to the animals.
